We offer compounded, semaglutide- and tirzepatide-based medications, which are generic alternatives to brand-name drugs such as Ozempic®, Mounjaro®, and Zepbound®. These compounded medications are custom-formulated by licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies.
Compounding is the process of creating personalized medications by combining ingredients to meet a patient’s specific needs. All of our compounded medications are prepared in licensed 503A compounding pharmacies that follow strict quality and safety standards. These medications are prescribed only after a consultation and are intended for patients who have a medical need and may not have access to the branded versions.
Compounded medications themselves are not FDA-approved because they are custom formulations. However, the active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) used are sourced from FDA-registered suppliers, and the compounding pharmacies are state-licensed and follow FDA guidelines under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.
You’ll begin with a virtual or in-person consultation with our nurse practitioner to review your medical history, current medications, and weight loss goals. If appropriate, a prescription will be sent to a trusted compounding pharmacy for fulfillment and direct shipment to your home.
These medications are typically administered as a once-weekly subcutaneous injection. Instructions will be provided, and you’ll have access to support for self-administration.
Most insurance plans do not cover compounded medications. We operate on a self-pay basis, but we do accept FSA/HSA cards where applicable. Please reference our Services and Pricing page for some additional detail on our prices.
You will receive ongoing support from our nurse practitioner, including progress check-ins, dose adjustments, and nutritional guidance. Your safety and long-term success are our top priorities.
Yes. Compounding is legal and regulated. We work only with licensed pharmacies that meet all federal and state guidelines. Our services comply with the legal scope of practice for nurse practitioners and FDA guidance regarding drug shortages and compounding exceptions
